Health enhancing physical activity
We have persistently worked on promoting older people’s exercise, physical activity, health as well as their chances to go outdoors. Various trainings are targeted at counselors or those who train professionals and peers. Trainings offer them knowledge and skills to gerontological practice.
Our actions nationwide are based on networking. The Strength in Old Age Programme is based on mentoring actors in municipalities. The activities are organized in cooperation between NGOs and the public sector. The aim is to implement the good practices of health exercise developed in the programme: exercise counseling, guided strength and balance exercise, opportunities for daily exercise and outdoor exercise.
Daily moving is vitally important to the elderly and the need to go out remains even with decreased functional capacity. Join us to promote mobile aging!
